TERMS & CONDITIONS
Cancellation, Returns, and Exchanges:
Customers may cancel their order within 48hours of purchase. Decisions to cancel or change an order outside of this timeframe will result in a 30% restocking fee.
Due to the custom nature of our business, furniture made for you is non-refundable and may not be returned or exchanged.
Clearance items and items sold off the showroom floor are final sale.
Pricing & Promotions:
All store promotions are mutually exclusive and not in conjunction with any other promotion. As our furniture is made to order, our pricing is determined based on manufacturing costs at time of sale therefore, prices are subject to change without notice and may not be honored after purchase date.
Build Times:
St Jacobs Furnishings makes every effort to ensure orders arrives on time however, build times are an estimate based on current market conditions, therefore cannot be guaranteed. Build times are quoted at the time of sale and noted on the invoice.
Availability of merchandise is estimated according to information on hand at the time the order is written. Seller shall not be responsible for delays in delivery of merchandise occasioned by the manufacturer’s scheduling, stock on hand, availability of materials, transportation difficulty or any other causes beyond the control of the seller.
Payment Terms:
An initial 50% Deposit is required when placing an order for furniture. Due to the custom nature of our business the 50% Deposit is non-refundable. Final payment is due upon notification of furniture arrival at St Jacobs Furnishings. SPECIAL ORDERS and clearance items purchased from the showroom require payment in full at time of purchase. Payment may be made by debit/credit or e-transfer.
Delivery / Pickup Information:
Customers will be provided a delivery/pickup date when their furniture arrives. Window times will be communicated the day prior. If the Customer cannot pick up or accept delivery of their furniture within two weeks of arrival, delivery to a storage facility of your choosing may be arranged otherwise additional fees will be incurred.
Transportation of furniture is at the discretion and convenience of St. Jacobs Furnishings Co. Seller can designate a day but not a specific time. The seller cannot move, haul or rearrange old furniture.
Customers are responsible for ensuring furniture fits through all obstacles including but not limited to door openings, hallways, stairways, etc, and inside or outside their house or vehicle.
Customers are responsible for ensuring the delivery team has a clear path that is free of obstacles or hazards on their own property. This includes clearing of snow/ice and all other potential hazards. Our delivery team reserves the right to refuse delivery when hazardous conditions are encountered. Our delivery staff are required to wear safety footwear at all times including when in your home.
Customers picking up their furniture are responsible for packaging their own furniture. We recommend that you bring moving blankets, and/or adequate packaging material to protect your furniture during transportation and customers should bring adequate help to load furniture into their vehicle.
Warranty / After Sales Service:
Solid wood finished furniture is warrantied for one year to be free of defects in material and workmanship. If any issue arises after the warranty period, customers may incur fees associated with the repair of their furniture. There is no warranty on unfinished furniture. Warranty does not apply to misuse.
Furniture must be maintained at 35% to 60% humidity and kept away from drying elements in a house (forced air vent, fire, etc). Failure to do so will result in a voided warranty.
All solid wood furniture is handcrafted from a natural substance; variation in graining, wood checks, sizes, knots, and finishing are all characteristic of solid wood furniture and not considered flaws but rather enhance the charm and add to the uniqueness of our individual pieces. Your new furniture was recently stained and takes some time to cure. While it is doing so, there may be some odour for a brief period of time that will dissipate after several days.
Any items that require service or warranty work beyond a 45 km radius from the store are the responsibility of the Purchaser to return/pickup at St Jacobs Furnishings.

Please note that Seller makes no warranty beyond any written description itemized on this order. Such disclaimer does not affect manufacturer warranty if any. Seller will assist the buyer in the exercise of factory warranty.
